TOMS RIVER –The 18th Annual Holiday Job Fair will be coming to the Ocean County Mall on Saturday, Sept. 23.

Co-sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the job fair is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. in the Center Court of the Ocean County Mall.

“Businesses start preparing for the holiday season early,” said Ocean County Freeholder Director Joseph H. Vicari, who is also liaison to the Ocean County Workforce Development Board. “The job fair not only helps out retailers, but it is a great resource for individuals looking for a job.”

Most jobs will be open for those 18 and older, with limited jobs available for 16 and 17 year olds.

Positions in management, cashiers, sale associates, stock clerks, security, counter help, fast food, and more are available. Jobs will have flexible hours and employee discounts as well.

Those interested can pre-register at the County Connection located in the Ocean County Mall near JC Penney. The County Connection, which is a service of the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders, hosts numerous resources including job searches.

“The County Connection makes services such as job searches, passport services and senior services conveniently available to Ocean County residents,” said Ocean County Freeholder John P. Kelly, who serves as liaison to County Connection. “Offering pre-registering for the job fair is a great opportunity for those looking to attend on Saturday.”

The County Connection is open regular mall hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays. It is handicapped accessible and served by public transportation, including New Jersey Transit and Ocean Ride buses.

“Whether you are looking for your first job, or just looking for a way to make some extra money for the holidays, this is a great opportunity to see what kind of jobs are available,” Vicari said.
