Barbara "Bobbi" Jo Crea

Ocean County Commissioner candidate Barbara “Bobbi” Jo Crea has a proven track record of putting conservative principles into action as an elected official in Little Egg Harbor, both as Mayor and Committeewoman.

Together, with her Republican colleagues she is proud to have fought back against Governor Murphy’s radical, far-left policies in Trenton by keeping Little Egg Harbor property taxes 45% lower than the statewide average, declaring Little Egg Harbor a sanctuary for the 2nd Amendment and legal gun owners and supporting a resolution that prohibits Little Egg Harbor from ever becoming a Sanctuary City.

In 2020, then Mayor Crea, worked hard during the COVID pandemic to successfully bring Interfaith Health and Support Services of Southern Ocean County to Little Egg Harbor.  This organization helps homebound and elderly who may be unable to drive to their medical appointments or get to a grocery store.  Their volunteers provide many more services as well for seniors.

Bobbi Jo will be bringing with her many years of experience when she is elected to the Ocean County Board of Commissioners.  As a loyal and active Republican for years, her contributions to the party and her community have extended beyond elected office.  Bobbi Jo has proudly served as the Little Egg Harbor Republican Municipal Chair, Little Egg Harbor County Committeewoman since 1996 and as a member of the Ocean County Federation of Republican Women.

She also is a member and liaison to the Little Egg Harbor Township’s Senior Advisory Board, a member of the Board of Directors for the Ocean County Health Department, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 493, a trustee to the Great Bay Regional Volunteer EMS and a proud recipient of Southern Ocean County Woman of Achievement award from the Girl Scouts of Ocean County.

Bobbi Jo retired in 1994 as a Senior Executive with the New Jersey Division of Taxation, where she managed a staff of hundreds of employees.  She was responsible for tax return processing, collections, and compliance for the largest revenue agency in the state of New Jersey.

Bobbi Jo was recently widowed, married to Richard Crea of 41 years.  She has two stepchildren and six grandchildren.
