Ocean County Connection Announces Re-Opening

TOMS RIVER – The County Connection, a popular storefront at the Ocean County Mall, connecting people with Ocean County and other government services, will reopen to the public at 11 a.m., Monday, July 20.

"We welcome back our residents and visitors to the County Connection," said Ocean County Freeholder John P. Kelly, who is liaison to the County Connection. "We will be doing things a little differently in order to meet the requirements of Gov. Murphy's executive orders and also to assure the safety of our staff and our citizens that are accessing services at the County Connection."

Many of the services provided at the storefront including Senior Services and Ocean County Clerk services will be done by appointment while other services like accessing information on government programs will be available by walk-ins.

Appointments currently can be made by calling the County Connection at 732-288-7777 or send an email to CountyConnection@co.ocean.nj.us. For senior services, residents can call 732-929-2091 for an appointment.

Visitors coming to the County Connection will be required to wear a facemask, and will have their temperatures taken. In addition, the number of people allowed in at a time will be limited due to Gov. Murphy's executive orders.

The County Connection closed in March when Gov. Murphy ordered indoor malls to be closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Beginning Monday, August 3, Ocean County Clerk staff will once again offer assistance to the public in processing U.S. Passport applications at the County Connection, located at the Ocean County Mall, by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling the County Connection at 732-288-7777 or sending an email to CountyConnection@co.ocean.nj.us.

The County Connection is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
